EAT REAL YYC RETURNS
SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2013!
What is Eat Real YYC?
Eat Real YYC is Calgary’s cheekiest food festival, celebrating its second year on Saturday, June 8, 2013. It’s a little bit cheeky, a little bit serious and a whole lot of fun!
Our mission is simple: Celebrating local food, small business and real communities.
We believe ‘The Man’ has had way too much say in what we eat, where we shop, and how we build our communities. Urban sprawl, big box stores and automated, genetically modified food production have left our palates and our communities without flavour. We’ve had enough.
Join us June 8 at Casel Marché for a revolutionary street food festival and Stick It To The Man!
What's Happening on June 8?
Eat Real YYC is all about community. We're not trying to be the biggest festival in town (maybe just the tastiest). Come hang out on a bustling promenade lined with food trucks, farmers, local food artisans, non-profits and community organizations connected by and celebrating our shared values. There will be contests, prizes, free samples, street performers, educational and family-friendly activities and more. Interact with the dedicated, innovative, amazing individuals and groups driving the momentum behind Calgary’s fast-growing local, interconnected and just pure awesome food scene!
