Spring Happenings at J. Webb
March 24, 2012

Service and Wine at Home with Greg $45 April 4th 7:00pm-9:00pm

Enjoy a night of fine tuning your entertaining skills with knowledge of wine pairing, preparation and creating the atmosphere your guests crave.

Exploring Portugal $45 April 25th 7:00pm-9:00pm

For centuries the spotlight has shone down on Portugal’s deliciously sweet, fortified nectar (known as port), leaving their red and white wines in the shadows. Well that is starting to change as we are beginning to see more and more regional wines from Portugal hit our market. Their wines, made from hundreds of unique and indigenous grape varietals, are amazing representations of great value and unique terroir. Join us as we explore Portugal (and yes…there will be port!)

La Fete de Bourgogne $75 May 5th 7:30pm-10:00pm

Join us for our 4th annual event to be held this year at our new store on 17th avenue. A festival style wine tasting (that means you get to wander around) of over 35 phenomenal wines from the heart of Burgundy. We will be pouring top producers and offering examples of local cuisine to complement the wines. Come taste and learn about the fascinating wines of Burgundy.

Easter Wines

Check out our selection of wines to perfectly pair with your Easter feast. Whether
you choose ham, turkey, rabbit or fish for the main, these wines won’t steal the
show but rather compliment your hard work. We will have these open at the tasting bar Easter weekend. Come and taste!

2009 Schloss Reinhartshausen Riesling $19.95 - Allze vay from Germany, a
delicate, refreshing and dry riesling with just a touch of sweetness. Green apple,
citrus and flowers. The ultimate food wine.

2010 Domaine Serol ‘Les Originelles’ gamay $19.95 - What? A gamay NOT from
Beaujolais? Yup this one is from further south, closer to the Rhone valley. Really
bright & juicy red berry fruit, a hint of spice, this one calls for a refill.

2009 Mastroberardino ‘Lacrimarosa’ aglianico rose $23.95 - The wines of
Mastroberardino are among our favourites, especially from Campania (region
close to Naples). Aglianico produces full-bodied, rich, plumy reds and beautiful
dry roses. Mouthfuls of tangerines and raspberries, you have to try this!

2010 Punta Rosa sparkling rose $19.95 - Bubbly is appropriate for all occasions
and meals-breakfast, lunch and dinner! Coming from Italy, this sparkling is a blend
of pinot grigio and pinot noir. Dry on the palate with grapefruit and strawberry
